Also, check the center for their level of cleanliness and child proofing. Nowadays, strict attention to hygiene is more important than ever, so check to see how clean the surfaces are, whether everything is clean after eating, and whether toys are left after use. Check the sockets to make sure they are child proof and otherwise inspect the room to see how important safety is to the center you are considering.

Other red flags include policies that are difficult to understand. If you ask for an explanation, you are not satisfied with the answers or there is a significant delay before you get the answer, be careful.

Do children seem to engage in age-appropriate activities? If young people look bored, it could indicate that they are not being given encouraging opportunities.
